Vintage 1920's Washburn Tenor Model 5225
  • Vintage 1920's Washburn Tenor Model 5225

We are estimating circa 1920’s. Distributed by Tonk Bros.

Good condition with scratches and dings as shown in the pictures.

Two small cracks on the back.

Original friction tuning keys. One key has a washer placed in it to increase the hold. All tuning keys function well.

Spruce top, mahogany back and sides.

    23 and 1/4 inch scale.

The back of the headstock as a previous owner’s social security number etched into the headstock between the upper and lower tuning keys.  The picture of the back of the headstock has been altered to obscure the social security number, leaving only the “SS” visible. We will leave it to the new owner to decide whether to leave this or attempt to sand out. To us, it is part of the history of the guitar.

Recently set up with new strings. Plays great well with a mellow vintage sound.
